1. Who we are
globalcasinospot.com is an independent site that compares the features of stablecoin casinos. It is operated by Pegdesk Medien UG (haftungsbeschränkt) of Berlin, Germany, which is the data controller for the purposes of this policy, and it is published and edited by Theo Brandt. We are not a gambling operator, we take no bets, and we hold no player funds or player accounts of any kind.
For anything regarding this policy, including requests to see or delete any of what we hold, please write to theo@globalcasinospot.com. This will reach the person responsible for the site, and there is no separate department to handle privacy requests.
2. What this policy covers
This policy only covers the site globalcasinospot.com and no other site. If you follow any link on this website to a casino or any other entity, you are on their website under their policies. We do not have any control or visibility over what they do with your information. This is important to know before you follow a Play button here, as casinos collect a lot more information than we do.
3. What we collect when you visit
To read a page here, nothing has to be done on your part. There is no need to create an account or fill out any form. The only information that is collected is the normal technical information that comes from your browser as you read a page, plus aggregate analytics:
- Your IP address, which every server receives in order to send a page back to you
- Your browser and device type, and the operating system it runs
- The pages you opened here, in what order, and how long each one was on screen
- The site or search that sent you here, where your browser passes it on
- A rough location, usually no more precise than the country or region
This technology is used to understand which pages of our website are read and which are ignored. It does not build a profile of you, and it is never combined with anything that would identify you personally.
What we deliberately do not collect
- Your name, postal address or telephone number
- Any payment information, because there is nothing to pay for here
- Any casino account details, balances or gambling history
- Any wallet address, private key or recovery phrase, and nobody legitimate will ever ask you for the last two
4. Cookies and similar technology
A cookie is a small file that is requested from you by the website that you visit. The cookies that we use fall into three groups, only the first of which is unavoidable.
Strictly necessary
These cookies enable the website to function. Such cookies remember that you have dismissed a notice on the website and remember your preference regarding the length of your visit to our website. They do not store any personally identifiable information about you, and the website cannot function without these cookies.
Analytics
These count visits and record which pages are opened, in aggregate. They tell the site operators how many times a page was read. They do not tell who read the page. Where your jurisdiction requires consent to use analytics, these cookies are only set after you have provided your consent. Refusing will change nothing about what you can read here.
Affiliate tracking
When you follow the Play or Visit button, the operator on the other side sets a cookie or a tracking parameter so that it can attribute a resulting sign-up to this site and pay the commission. That cookie belongs to them and lives under their policy. It records that a referral happened; it does not report your gambling activity back to us. We never see your balance, your deposits, your losses or your identity at any casino.
Turning them off
You can block and delete cookies, per browser, per site. Most browsers allow you to block analytics and affiliate cookies, which changes nothing about the way the site works for you. The only difference is that a referral may not be attributed, which affects our income and not your experience.
5. What happens when you email us
If you write in, we will hold your message and your email address for as long as it takes to deal with your message, plus some period after for any follow-up messages on the same subject. Corrections are kept longer, because a page that was changed needs a record of why it was changed and who reported it. That record is used for nothing else.
Please do not send account credentials, recovery phrases, private keys or copies of identity documents. We have no use for them and no way to protect them properly, and a legitimate correction never requires one. A screenshot of a cashier screen displaying the relevant coin and network is all that is required of you.
6. Legal bases for processing
Where the General Data Protection Regulation applies, the bases upon which we rely for processing your personal data are:
- Legitimate interests, for the server logs and aggregate analytics that keep the site running and show which pages are worth maintaining. This is a low-impact use and it does not involve profiling you.
- Consent, for any analytics or tracking cookie in a jurisdiction that requires it, and for anything you volunteer by writing to us. Consent can be withdrawn at any time and withdrawing it does not limit what you can read.
7. Who we share information with
Nobody, in the sense that people usually mean the term. We do not sell, rent or trade your personal data with any third parties. The only third parties with whom we are involved in the operation of this website are the technical services required to make the website live:
- The hosting provider that serves these pages and keeps standard server logs
- The analytics provider that produces the aggregate visit counts
- The affiliate networks and operators whose cookies are described above, which they set themselves when you follow a link to them
We will also disclose personal data where required to do so by law. This has not yet occurred and would be an unusual event for this website.
8. How long anything is kept
Server logs will be kept for a short time only to allow the administration of the site and for security purposes, and then automatically discarded. Aggregate analytics are kept as long as they are useful for deciding what to write next, and by that point they describe pages and no longer describe people. Email correspondence will be kept as described in section 5. Nothing is kept because it might be valuable later.
9. Where information is processed
The site is operated from Germany. Some of the providers who provide technical services to the site may be located outside of the European Economic Area. Where that happens, it takes place under the safeguards those providers are required to have in place for international transfers. If you would like to know which providers we use, simply ask and we will tell you.
10. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have some or all of the following rights over information relating to you:
- To ask what is held about you, and to receive a copy of it
- To have inaccurate information corrected
- To have information deleted, where there is no reason to keep it
- To object to processing based on legitimate interests, or to ask for it to be restricted
- To withdraw consent at any time, where consent was the basis
- To complain to your national data protection authority
Requests for access can be made by writing to theo@globalcasinospot.com. In practice the honest answer to most requests here is that nothing identifying you is held at all, and you will be told exactly that and sent no form.
11. Children
This website is for adults only. Gambling is restricted to individuals of 18 years of age or older in most countries, and to even higher ages in some of those countries. The site is not aimed at individuals of any age younger than those ages, and does not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has sent us something, write in and it will be deleted.
12. Changes to this policy
If the policy changes, the date at the top of the page will change with it. The new version of this page will replace this one. Material changes will be described rather than slipped in, for the same reason that corrections to a deposit floor are published with a date attached: a document you cannot audit is a document you cannot rely on.
13. Contact
Write to theo@globalcasinospot.com about anything on this page. The contact page covers what else the address is used for, the terms of use set out the rules for using the site, and the responsible gambling page lists free and confidential help that has nothing to do with us.
