Only one of the ten is actually new

Razed has a 2025 copyright line and dates its operations to 2025. Nothing else on this list has a year of publication within touching distance of the current year. On a page about new casinos, that is a list of one.

The Anjouan number carries its own date

Four of the company licences read ALSI-YYYYMM with a sequence of months for October 2024 for BC.Game and Bets.io, August 2025 for Winz.io, and September 2025 for Flush. Razed's licence number does not match this format so while the others can be dated this way, Razed cannot be. Reading a casino licence number covers the Curacao licence format as well.

A Curacao number dates the regime

All four of these Curacao licences were issued in 2024 as the Gaming Authority replaced the master-licence system with direct licences for each company. Cloudbet's website states that the licence was issued in 2024, although the company has been trading since 2013.

Mega Dice cannot be dated at all

No operating company, no company number, no licence number and no copyright year can be found on the company's website. All the other operators listed have at least some information available for verification. The lack of information is the most useful information this table provides about the company.

A new licence is not a new USDT casino

This is the mistake that fills every new-casino list on the web, and it is an easy one to make honestly.

The licensing authority in Curacao has overhauled its licensing process in the middle of this decade. Instead of requiring master licences to be sublicensed to the companies that would be providing the gambling services, the Curacao Gaming Authority now directly licences each company. All the companies that were licensed prior to this change had to re-register with the Curacao Gaming Authority, hence the four companies with licence numbers beginning with OGL/2024 regardless of their actual year of establishment.

Cloudbet has a copyright line from 2013 and a Curacao licence from 2024. Read the licence alone and it looks like a two-year-old casino. Read the copyright line and it is the longest-running brand we have. BitStarz and 7Bit did the same thing one year later.

The sequence number within the Curacao licence does have some significance. BitStarz is 165, Cloudbet 328, 7Bit 1307 and BetFury 1494. This shows the order in which companies filed for the licence, not when they opened.

The date of the licence tells you when the regulator started to supervise the casino operator. This is useful information, but it is not an age.

The ranking is based on the recency of the casino operators' establishment, followed by the amount of information that they publish about themselves. A short record of a casino operator that publishes all of its records is ranked higher than one that publishes none.

Does a 2024 licence mean a new casino?

No, and this is the trap. The Curacao Gaming Authority's old master-licence system has been replaced by a new one. Every company that was licensed under the old one had to be re-licensed under the new one. Cloudbet has been in operation since 2013, BitStarz and 7Bit since 2014, and all three carry a licence year of 2024. The licence year dates the regime.

How do you date a casino from its licence number?
