Below the Minimum Deposit: four casinos say it is lost

Most deposit screens carry a minimum. Four of the ten cashiers we opened also carry a sentence explaining what happens if you send less, and in every case the answer is the same: the money is gone. No hold, no refund, and no credit when you later top it up.

  • 4 of 10state in writing that a short deposit is lost
  • 100 USDTthe floor on Tron at the casino most likely to catch you
  • 11xthe gap between one casino's cashier and its own terms
The four casinos that state what happens to a below-minimum deposit, with the wording each uses
Casino What it says on the deposit screen or in the terms Where the floor sits
Flush "Sending less than the minimum deposit amount will result in loss of funds", printed beside the wrong-network warning 1 to 100, by chain
Bets.io Deposits below the minimum amount will be lost and will not be credited to your account, on the address panel itself 5 on all five rails
BC.Game Any transfer under 1 USDT will not be credited to your account, and the same applies to USD Coin 1 on all rails
Razed Clause 11.3 lists the minimums and warns in the same clause that a deposit below them loses your funds 0.1 on screen, 1.1 in the terms

The other six casinos publish a minimum without saying what happens below it. That silence is no promise of a refund, and none of them offers one anywhere else either.

The minimum deposit moves with the network, and that is the trap

Nobody loses a deposit by misreading a single number. They lose it by reading the number on one network tab and sending on another.

Flush is the expensive example

One USDT on Solana, Polygon or BNB Chain. One hundred on Tron. A hundredfold gap inside a single cashier, on the chain almost every guide in this market recommends by default. A deposit of 20 USDT is comfortably above the floor you read about and 80 USDT short of the floor that applies.

BetFury runs the same shape, thirtyfold

0.1 USDT on Polygon against 3 USDT on Ethereum, with nine networks in between. Its cashier also pre-selects BNB Chain, so the figure on screen when you arrive is neither the cheapest one nor the dearest.

Flat-floor casinos cannot do this to you

BC.Game charges 1 USDT on all eight of its rails. Bets.io charges 5 USDT on all five of its rails. Winz.io and Razed charge the same figure on all five and all four of theirs, respectively. Whatever else those floors cost you, the network you pick cannot put you underneath one.

The warning sits next to the other warning

At Flush the loss-of-funds sentence is printed beside the caution about sending to the wrong network. Both of these failures result in the same outcome, and the screen tells you so, which is more than most cashiers do.

When the cashier and the terms disagree

Razed publishes two different minimum deposit amounts, neither of which points to the other.

When the cashier is opened the floor displays 0.10011476 USDT, the same figure that displays along each of its four rails; this is the live coin value of the ten cent floor. Clause 11.3 of the casino's terms states the minimum deposits are 1.1 USDT, 1.1 USDC and 1.20 DAI. The clause also states that any deposit below these amounts will result in the loss of your funds.

This is an elevenfold difference between two documents published by the same operator. It matters because of what is written between them. If you try to send 0.5 USDT, you will end up five times above the figure accepted by the cashier and less than half that of the figure mentioned in the terms and conditions. There is no way of knowing which figure the system will use.

There is nothing in these terms and conditions that would suggest that the operator is acting in bad faith. The floors for cashiers will be updated more frequently than the legal pages containing the terms and conditions. A ten cent floor converted live is a newer and friendlier design than a fixed 1.1. The point is narrower than that, and it applies everywhere. If the operator has published two figures for a specific value, the higher of the two is the safe number to use because the clause that will take your money is contained within the document that is updated the least by the operator.

This pattern occurs across the roster. Cashier figures are generated by the payment layer and change whenever the operator retunes it. The terms are drafted once, cleared by a lawyer, and edited reluctantly. The number that dictates your money in the case of a dispute is the one that is old and established in a document that no one reads.

Every per-rail floor we have read is on the USDT minimum deposit comparison, and the Tron-specific figures are on TRC-20 casinos.

Why a below-minimum deposit cannot simply be sent back

The clause sounds harsher than it is. There are technical reasons for which the online casinos cannot provide change for small amounts of money, and it is important for customers to understand these reasons prior to having an argument with the customer support agents for the casinos.

The return costs more than the amount

Refunding 3 USDT on the Ethereum blockchain will cost a fee that could be more than the 3 USDT to be refunded. Flush says the quiet part out loud about floors on each blockchain. For chains with high fees, the cost of the transaction will eat most of the funds that you are to receive on-chain. The same arithmetic applies in reverse.

The deposit may never be credited at all

While BC.Game did not directly say that your funds would be confiscated, they did state that the transaction will not be credited to your account. Since your funds have arrived at an address that belongs to the casino and were never attached to your balance, there is nothing in the account for support to see or send back.

Support can sometimes recover it anyway

If approached politely with the transaction hash and the amount of cryptocurrency sent to the casino, the customer service agents will occasionally credit the transaction. This works best on the cheaper chains as the cost of crediting is almost nothing to the casino. It is worth asking. It is not worth relying on, because none of these four casinos has promised it.

Which makes the floor a hard edge

Treat every stated minimum as if there's nothing underneath it. The clauses read this way for a reason, and because it costs nothing to go a little over the stated minimum, there's no prize for finding out how close to the edge you can get.

Two of the ten cashiers make it almost impossible to get this wrong. Flush places a warning message about the loss of funds directly beside the network selection menu. Bets.io places the same warning message on the address panel, where users are looking at the address in question. This is the correct place to put such a message. The other eight publish a number and leave the consequence to the imagination of the player.

Warning

The exchange from which you send can push you under the floor by itself. Most exchanges charge a flat fee to send TRC-20 or ERC-20 tokens, regardless of the size of the transaction. By the time you account for that transaction fee, you may find that the tokens have arrived in an amount that is short of the floor that you believed you had cleared. The habit that prevents this is to send comfortably over, and to use one transfer where you were about to use five.

Five checks that keep you above the minimum deposit floor

None of these steps take longer than a minute, and they cover every way in which stablecoin deposits have gone missing on screens that were otherwise working correctly.

  1. 01

Read the floor on the tab you will actually use

Not the one the cashier opened on and not the one a guide quoted. At Flush the difference between those two screens is 1 USDT and 100 USDT.

  2. 02

Search the terms for a second figure

Find "minimum" in the terms of service. If it names a number that differs from the cashier, as Razed's clause 11.3 does, use the higher one.

  3. 03

Add the sending fee on top

Work out what will arrive, not what you will send. The flat charge from an exchange will be taken off your transfer leaving you just under the floor you hoped to hit exactly.

  4. 04

Never use the floor as a test transfer

The impulse to send the smallest amount possible at first is exactly what these clauses punish. Test with a comfortable multiple of the minimum, then withdraw it to test the exit.

  5. 05

Keep the hash if it goes wrong

A transaction hash, the amount and the network is everything support needs to credit a short deposit manually. Without it there is nothing to discuss.

Questions about minimum deposits

What happens if you deposit less than the casino minimum? Toggle

At four of the ten casinos we opened, the funds are lost. Flush says that sending less than the minimum will result in loss of funds. Bets.io says that if a player sends a deposit that is less than the minimum deposit amount, those funds will be lost and not credited to the player's account. BC.Game states that if the amount deposited is under 1 USDT the deposit will not be credited. Razed says that any funds sent to the casino that are under the minimum deposit amount will be lost by the player.

Can a casino return a deposit that was under the minimum? Toggle

Some will if you ask, but none of the four with a written clause promises to. The wording is deliberate. Three of the four state that funds sent under the minimum will be lost or will not be credited to the player's account. None of these casinos mention a refund policy in their terms and conditions. While the customer service agents may offer a refund in certain circumstances, it is at the discretion of the online casino and not something that the customer is guaranteed.

Is the minimum deposit the same on every network? Toggle

Often not, and this is where the money goes. Flush asks 1 USDT on Solana and 100 on Tron. BetFury asks 0.1 on Polygon and 3 on Ethereum. Sending a Solana-sized deposit over Tron at Flush puts you 99 USDT under the floor.

Which chain is most likely to cost you a lost deposit? Toggle

Tron, because it's the chain nearly every guide recommends and Flush prices at 100 USDT. Following general advice while skipping that particular deposit screen is the single most expensive habit in this market.

Does the cashier or the terms of service set the minimum? Toggle

They should agree and at Razed they do not. The floor displays as 0.10011476 USDT while clause 11.3 of the website's terms of service states a 1.1 USDT floor, an elevenfold difference. Until an operator reconciles that, the safe reading is the higher of the two figures.

How do I avoid losing a small crypto deposit? Toggle

Read the floor of the exact network you are about to use, check the terms for a second figure and size the transaction comfortably above the higher of the two. If the exchange sends all transactions for a flat fee, then one larger transaction will be less costly than several smaller transactions to move the same amount of USDT.

Every floor we have read, in one place

This page is the clause. These carry the numbers it applies to.

The full grid

The USDT minimum deposit comparison prices all fifty-one Tether rails, which is where the per-chain gaps that cause these losses are visible side by side. USDC casinos does the same for Circle's dollar.

The chain most people default to

TRC-20 casinos covers Tron on its own, including the Flush floor of 100 that makes it the most expensive door on the roster. The hold-currency guide covers what happens once the USDT deposit does land.

I spent two years on the support side of a crypto payment processor, telling people their transfer had landed on a chain the receiver did not run. Every one of those losses traced back to a figure the business already knew and had never published. Casinos are the worst for it, so I open accounts and read the cashiers myself, one coin and one network at a time.
